HI! I'M AMBER

Thanks for checking me out!

My name is Amberlee Keister I am a married mom of two under two. For almost 7 years I was a full time insurance agent. Before we had kids we lived in FL, NC and AZ, we moved around a lot, we loved it because it was exciting. In 2018 while living in AZ, we found out we were pregnant, 9 months later I gave birth to our daughter Adalynn. About 5 months into her life my husbands job was going to relocate us to Nashville. I wasn't looking forward to it, AZ is absolutely beautiful and we had never moved with a dog and a baby. In the 3 years we lived in AZ we went to the Grand Canyon 5 times! I mean people from around the world fly hours to see it and it was a 4 hour drive for us, I didn't want to leave. But I knew in order for him to keep moving up in his job and to maintain the lifestyle we were accustomed to we would have to. I also knew I would have to find a new job, which I always enjoyed the challenge, but I had never done this with a baby and it just felt different this time, it wasn't as exciting to me or fulfilling.

After I had my baby girl I took my 3 month maternity leave. When the time came to go back to work it was extremely difficult for me mentally. We had bonded so much, she was my best friend. The unfortunate part was that we didn't have any family out in AZ to watch her when I had to go back to work, so we had to hire a Nanny. We were lucky enough to find a Nanny who we really liked. So I went back to work and would leave my baby girl for 10 hours. When I came home we only had about two hours together before it was her bedtime. It was so exhausting, drive 45 minutes, work 8 hours, drive 45 minutes, come home to take care of a baby. I looked forward to my weekends because I felt like those two days we could be a family together.

In the meantime in the back of my head the idea of being a full time stay at home mom started to creep in. I would say no! I have to work we can't afford it, everyone does this, Adalynn will be fine with a Nanny, it's no big deal. About a month before we moved to TN I found out I was expecting! That is when we both decided okay, you're going to be a full time stay at home mom now. Because the thought of finding a new job while pregnant, finding a new nanny all while moving across country, I wasn't about that. I had mixed emotions about being a SAHM, but I knew I was making the right decision for my family.

I am writing this blog because I am starting to get the itch, the go back to work itch. But the thought of having a Nanny raise my two children just doesn't appeal to me right now. I see all these other Moms figure out how to make a decent income blogging, so I figured why don't I? Why don't I help show other Mom's how to do this too? I hope to create a community of Moms where we can all give each other tips and tricks on ways to make money. My end goal with all of this is to be able to continue being a full time SAHM, raise my kids and save for our family's future.

I will be honest in all posts and share as much detail about what I am doing to make money. I am super excited to start this blog and hope it will be successful.

By no means am I a blogger or even a decent writer. I am starting from square one with everything even on how to start a this website, but thats what I want to do and I will be learning along the way and sharing with all of you.

Thank you for following along, it will definitely be an interesting journey!
